Daize Shayne-Goodwin is the original Roxy Girl. She was the face of the Quiksilver’s female line throughout the ’90s and early-2000s. At the same time Daize was a professional surfer and won two Association of Surfing Professional women’s world longboard championships in 1999 and 2004. When she retired from competition, the blonde-bombshell delved into the arts. Daize recorded a full-length, self-titled album in 2005 and is currently putting together a portrait photography book. Although she is a loyal wife and mother of two young children, her wanderlust is still strong. Daize’s family’s 18-month journey around the world is documented in the upcoming film, “The Goodwin Project.”
